Delicious black fondant at home

I always hated the taste of fondant, until I came up with this delicious black fondant recipe. This recipe is based on Wilton’s basic fondant recipe that I manepulated to get to were it is. This is a recipe that tastes like chocolate and works for all fondant applications. The fondant you will make using this recipe is very plyable. It works best for all different flowers. The best time to cover a cake with this fondant is as soon as you make it. If you’re not planning to use it yet, that’s OK! Just keep it in a zip lock until you need it. Before using it all you need is to pop it into the microwave until its around a 40 degrees celcious. Just a little bit warm to the hand. knead it well and cover the cake instantly. I will make you a dedicated video on using this fondant and how perfect it is

Delicious Black Fondant Recipe

Ingridients

6 C sifted dutch coco powder

7 C powdered sugar

8 Tbsp vegetable shortening

1/4 C Glycerine

1 C water

2 C glucose or corn syrup ( what ever is handy)

6 Tbsp gelatine

 

Recipe

1- Bloom the gelatine by pouring it into the water

2- In the mean while sift the coco and the sugar together

3- In a double boiler put the bloomed gelatine and mix it until it melts

4- Add in the glucose and keep mixing

5- Add the vegetable shortening and mix until it melts

6- Add the glycerine and turn off the heat

7- Pour your liquid mixture onto your powder mixture and knead well.

8- Now is the right time to add a little bit off black gel food coloring to get your required shade of black. Be careful, your fondant is already dark brown. A little bit of color will make a huge difference

9- If you’re planning to coveer a cake with this fondant now is the best time to use it while the fondant is still warm.

10- If you’re not ready to use it, just leave it in an air tight container until you need it.

11- If your’r planning to make any flowers using it, it is best at room temperature.

 

This is one of the most delicious fondant recipes since it is coco based. The taste of your fondant completly relies on the quality of your coco, so choose the best.

  19. I use firefox and some nights at 12:00 exactly or 12:30 exactly, firefox stops working and does not load a page. The internet connection is perfectly fine though because it says excellent. I am connected to a home router and the signal strength is always excellent. I do not know why this happens at exactly 12:00 or 12:30 on my desktop time but it’s a pain. I’ve tried “ping”ing and everything looks fine..
