Assembling an Upside Down Wedding Cake AKA “Cake Stackers Hanging Chandelier Cake Stand” might be overwhelming at first. But like any other project in life, proper planning is the key to success. These are the exact steps I follow every time I assemble an upside down wedding cake.
Upside down wedding cake Assembly:
- I like to make a detailed diagram of my cake with all the measurements to make sure I won’t mess up. In this case the cakes were 8″, 10″, and 14″, all are 6″ high. These measurements were based on the plate sizes of my stand which are 6″ 8″ 10″ 12″ and 14″.
- Based on my diagram I concluded I need fiber glass plates 2″ bigger than the hanging chandelier cake stand. Each with holes all around the smaller matching plate and a hole in the middle.
- Assemble my centre post based on the height of my cakes and the required spaces for the crystals to hang. I like to number them just to make sure I’m right on track.
- I like to assemble my whole stand 2 days ahead of the wedding just to make sure all the measurements fit perfectly.
- After covering my cakes with fondant I punch a hole through the middle of every cake for the centre post to go through.
- I cover the bottom of every cake with fondant to give the illusion of an upside down cake. I then used the fibre glass plates to protect the base fondant.
- At the actual assembly of the cake, we start with the biggest and heaviest cake. The rest of the assembly becomes easier with every cake.
These were my basic steps for Assembling an upside down wedding cake wish you enjoyed it and learned something from it.

اولا، أحب أن أقوم برسم تخطيطي مفصل لمقاسات كل كيكة للتأكد من أنني على الطريق السليم. في هذه الحالة كان مقاس الكيكات 8 “، 10″، و 14 “، كلها ارتفاعها 6” واستندت هذه القياسات على أحجام صحون الستاند التي هي 6 “8” 10 ” 12 “14
ثانيا، استنادا إلى الرسم البياني عرفت اني احتاج لوحات زجاجية اكبر من مقاس صحون الستاند بمقدار 2 ” مع وجود ثقوب حول صحون الستاند و ثقب في الوسط
ثالثا، اقوم بتجميع العمود المركزي بناء على ارتفاع الكيك والمساحات المطلوبة لتعليق الكرستال. احب ان اقوم بترقيمها للتأكد من أنني على الطريق الصحيح.
رابعا، اقوم بتجميع العمود المركزي كامل قبل الزفاف بيومين للتأكد من أن جميع القياسات تناسب تماما.
خامسا، بعد تغطية الكيك بالفوندانت اقوم بعمل ثقب في منتصف كل كيكة لفتح طريق للعمود المركزي.
سادسا، اقوم بتغطية الجزء السفلي من كل كيكة بالفوندانت لإعطاء الانطباع أن الكيكة مقلوبة رأسا على عقب. ثم استخدم الوحات الزجاجية لحماية قاعدة الفوندانت
اخيرا و ليس اخرا، في التجمع الفعلي للكيكة، نبدأ من أكبر وأثقل طبقة و بقية التجميع يصبح أسهل مع كل طبقة
.كانت هذه الخطوات الأساسية لتجميع كيكة الزفاف المقلوبة
