How to fix dry fondant

Having some old fondant, that has not expired, but dried out on you, doesn’t mean you should throw it away. I actually have a very simple way to fix dry fondant.

The youtube video at the end of the post has all the details, but these are a few points you need to keep in mind.

Few Simple Steps to fix dry fondant:

Take all the dry fondant you have and peel away all the ROCK hard parts. This is a very crucial step, for if you dont, you will end up with a GRAINY fondant. That’s definitely something you don’t want!

Next, spray your fondant with some water. The amount of water depends on how dry your fondant is. This is a trial and error phase but practice make perfect.

Microwave your fondant for the time equivalent to its weight t. In my case I had 2 kilos of fondant, so I put it for 2 minutes in the microwave.

This step is very important! Knead your fondant very very well until it becomes soft and pliable. Your fondant is ready to be used. If you’re not going to use it yet, make sure you put it in an airtight container or zip-lock. Otherwise your fondant could turn out even harder than it was. Warm fondant tends to loose moisture really fast. Your fondant is most probably still a bit warm so please be careful!!

كيفية اصلاح الفوندانت الناشف

كما رأيتم في الفيديو الطريقة سهلة جدا. و من غير المنطقي ان نتخلص من كل فوندانت ينشف. طريقتنا كالآتي

أولا و خطوة مهمة جدا, أن نقوم بتقشير  الفوندانت المتحجر, إذا لم نقم بذلك فسنحصل على فوندانت مليء بالحبيبات . بعد ذلك نضع الفوندانت في المايكروويف لمدة تتناسب مع وزنه. في حالتنا كان الفوندانت وزنه 2 كج. لذلك كانت مدته في المايكرويف دقيقتين. بعد ذلك تأتي مرحلة العجن. لا بد من عجنه جيدا جدا حتى نحصل على عجينة ناعمة وملساء. في هذه المرحلة يكون الفوندانت جاهز للاستعمال. اذا لم تكوني تنوين استعماله في الوقت الحالي فلابد من وضعه في علبة محكمة من الهواء. اذا لم تفعلي ذلك فقد يتحول الفوندانت الى عجينة متحجرة مرة اخرى. لأنه على الأغلب لا يزال دافئا. الفوندانت الدافئ يميل إلى النشفان السريع جدا اذا لم يوضع في علبة محكمة
